Find Tehama County Recent Arrests

Tehama County recent arrests come down to one question: who is in custody? The Main Jail's inmate list answers part of it. It names people booked and held there. Yet an arrest in Tehama County does not always create a jail row. A citation may send someone home the same day. Others leave before their name ever posts. To see who was arrested in Tehama County, start with the official custody record, then fill the gaps through the Sheriff, the courts, or a records request.

Tracking Tehama County Recent Arrests

Start with the Sheriff's current-inmates page. It hands you off to a separately hosted listing of people in custody. It is a custody list, plain and simple. New arrests mix with older bookings whose dates linger because those people are still held. The page stamps its own generated time and an inmate count. But the Sheriff promises no fixed gap between arrest and posting. Fresh entries can take time. An urgent question about a specific Tehama County arrest deserves a call to the jail at (530) 529-7910. Records can also help at (530) 529-7940.

The Sheriff publishes no same-day arrest table, no 48-hour feed, and no weekly blotter. No roll-off archive exists either. A missing name proves nothing about a recent arrest. The person may have been cited, transferred, held elsewhere, or entered under a name variation, and the official Current Inmates landing page remains the county's route to custody facts.

Arrested Last Night in Tehama County

An arrest last night shows up under the newest book dates; the same-day walkthrough covers that method. The table has no date-range filter. Search a surname or date with your browser's Find. Open any matching row and check the name, booking number, agency, charge, bail, and scheduled release against what you know. Timing can fool you. A fresh arrest may lag the page. An old booking can linger because the person is still confined. California VINE helps with notifications, but it is no photo archive and no substitute for the official booking record.

Search the Tehama County Jail Roster

The official listing covers people held at the Tehama County Jail, 502 Oak Street, Red Bluff. The jail dates to 1974. A 1994 expansion brought capacity to 227. Extradition and prison transport also run through the facility. That is one reason a Tehama County booking later becomes a CDCR, federal, or VINE question, since the Custody Division houses both pre-sentenced and sentenced county inmates.

Roster elementHow to use it
NameUse browser Find; there is no observed structured search form.
Book dateSeparate new intake from older current custody.
ChargeRead as an charge, not a conviction.
BailVerify later changes through court or jail.
Scheduled releaseTreat as subject to holds, orders, and processing.
Linked detailMay show booking/file numbers, descriptors, agency, offenses, disposition fields, and a photo.
  1. Open the Sheriff landing page and follow “View Current Inmates.”
  2. Record the fetched time and use browser Find for the surname.
  3. Open the matching row and verify identifiers, not merely a name.
  4. If absent, check the arresting agency and call the jail for urgent confirmation.
  5. For an older or released booking, request the booking log from Records.

The roster is no mugshot wall. An individual record can reference an `ICUP` image when one exists. A blank doesn't mean no booking photo was taken. The Sheriff sets no refresh interval, publishes no photo-retention schedule, and lists no inmate-search app; the Custody Division page documents the jail's operations and location.

Where Tehama County Arrests Appear

Arrest information in Tehama County never moves in sync. The jail roster shows who is held. Press releases pick one case, newspapers chase the stories they choose, and aggregator sites build their own cards. Each slice leaves gaps.

RecentlyBooked, California Arrests.org, JailExchange, and Mugshots.com all come with caveats. Entries can lag, duplicate, omit, or misidentify people. Old material lingers. A card often shows the initial charge with no outcome. Treat them as discovery aids only. Busted Newspaper and Mugshots.zone show no verified local page for Tehama County.

Recent Arrests by City

Red Bluff Recent Arrests tracks Red Bluff Police, Citizen RIMS, and county bookings. Corning works differently. The Corning Recent Arrests page explains the police request path, the county roster, and Observer coverage. Tehama Recent Arrests leans on the Sheriff. A city department keeps its own incident report. The Sheriff logs jail intake, so not every citation or city arrest creates a visible row.

Reading a Tehama County Arrest Record

A booking record documents intake. It connects to an incident report or court case without being either one. Identity matters here. Match the booking number and date, because a common name invites mix-ups in Tehama County arrest records.

FieldMeaning
Name and descriptionMay include DOB, sex, race, height, weight, hair, and eyes.

Arrest/booking datesSeparate enforcement from custody intake.

Charge and holdsIntake charges, warrants, or probation/parole holds.
Bail/releaseCustody fields that can change.
Disposition/sentenceMay appear but should be checked in court.
PhotoRecord-specific image when exposed.

The custody manual takes a broad view of the public daily log. It can include occupation. It can also list arrest time and place, circumstances referred to the agency, and manner of release. Not everything gets released. Investigative details, medical facts, victim data, juvenile material, and sealed records may be withheld.

Tehama County Mugshots and Arrest Photos

A booking photo, when it exists, lives inside an individual roster record. The list has no gallery. For someone sentenced to state custody, CDCR CIRIS may show an offender photograph. It says nothing about a fresh local booking in Tehama County. The federal BOP locator shows no photos. ICE serves a different population.

Penal Code §13665 limits which booking photos law enforcement can post on social media. The rule covers certain nonviolent offenses. Covered posts generally must come down within 14 days, subject to exceptions. Agency-owned sites and electronic systems are treated separately. Civil Code §1798.91.1 bars any booking-photo publisher from charging the subject to remove, correct, modify, or stop an image.

Sheriff Records handles official photo requests. Include the name, date, booking number if known, arresting agency, and the format you want. No special photo fee or deadline is published. Unofficial photo sites carry no official weight.

The official §13665 page lays out the state publication rule.

The rule does not guarantee deletion of every official roster image after release.

Obtain a Tehama County Arrest Record

The Sheriff Records Division keeps the booking logs and other agency records. Its office sits at 22840 Antelope Boulevard, Red Bluff, CA 96080. Call (530) 529-7940. Written requests can go to records@tehamaso.org.

  1. Give full name, DOB where appropriate, arrest/booking date, number, and agency or location.
  2. Specify the booking log, detail, photo, or report and desired format.
  3. Use Sheriff Records for county files or city police for its incident report.
  4. If material is withheld, ask for the legal basis and segregable portions.
  5. Check Superior Court separately for the filed case and disposition.

No photo fee schedule exists, and the Sheriff sets no fixed production deadline. Red Bluff's $0.10-per-page ceiling does not carry over, and neither do court copy fees. Every custodian keeps its own schedule. When a record is wrong, sealed, or eligible for Penal Code §851.92 relief, send documentation to the agency and the court. Both files then get corrected. RecentlyBooked offers free correction or removal on specified grounds. No photo publisher should ever be paid. After a source corrects its record, a search-engine outdated-content tool can refresh indexing. It cannot touch the official file. The official Records page names the county request channel.

A focused request with identifiers reduces mistaken-identity risk.

Arrest Records Under California Law

California's Public Records Act sets the general framework, but a public roster does not open every criminal history file. Penal Code §13300 limits local summary history release. Juvenile files are confidential. Welfare and Institutions Code §827 and Rule 5.551 protect those files and their digital images. Sealed, victim, medical, and investigative material can be redacted.

Public does not mean permanent. Tehama publishes no retention schedule for public roster rows or photos. Begin an old-record search with Sheriff Records, then the court; do not assume routine photos transfer to the State Archives.

The court gives no criminal-record answers over the phone. A written or in-person request needs a name, date of birth, the documents you want, payment, and a stamped envelope. Historic news digging can continue at Tehama County Library. Its holdings run by date, not by person.

Arrest Warrants and Wanted Notices

Tehama County publishes no countywide warrant-name search. No complete most-wanted roster exists either. The traffic portal will not check warrants. For official guidance, call Sheriff dispatch at (530) 529-7900, the Criminal Division, or your attorney, since disclosure may still require a request. Wanted-person details appear across press releases, Current Rewards, Secret Witness, and Tehama Alert, and Secret Witness lists (530) 529-1268. Those notices are selective rather than a complete index. The official Current Rewards page is one piece of this distributed system; never approach a wanted person yourself, and contact law enforcement instead.

Check dates and current official status because this is not a live warrant search.

After Arrest: Court Disposition

Booking is only the start. Bail amounts and scheduled release dates describe custody at one moment in time. Arraignment, charging, hearings, and the final disposition all belong to the court. Tehama makes no fixed hours-after-booking arraignment promise.

Bail and Release After a Tehama County Arrest

The official roster can display a bail amount and a scheduled release date. Tehama Superior Court also publishes a local bail schedule. Those two sources answer different questions. The schedule supplies the framework for offenses and bail. The roster reflects one individual record as the custody system generated it. Neither is a release-time promise. A release can hinge on court orders, eligibility, payment or bond processing, another agency's hold, transportation, sentence calculation, or paperwork completion. Jail Services also runs extraditions and prison trips. It transports people arrested outside the county on Tehama matters, plus court and medical trips. So a name can drop off the roster because of release or transfer. The disappearance alone tells you neither.

Displayed informationWhat it can tell youWhat still needs confirmation
Bail amountThe amount recorded for the custody matterLater judicial changes, holds, and eligibility
Scheduled releaseAn operationally expected date when suppliedActual departure time and any intervening order
Roster disappearanceThe person is no longer shown in current county custodyRelease, transfer, correction, or another status
VINE noticeA participating system reports a custody-status eventCurrent detail from the jail and final court outcome

Time-sensitive release questions go to the jail, not a cached page. A cached roster can lag behind reality. For the legal basis of bail or a changed order, contact the Tehama Superior Court Criminal Division. That is the right office for court-side answers.

Current Custody Is Not an Arrest History

Tehama's public list covers current custody only. It is not a historical name search. Red Bluff Police, Corning Police, the Sheriff, CHP, probation, state agencies, and federal agencies each make arrests, but their activity is not merged into one database. The Sheriff's annual report describes multi-agency dispatch and county-jail intake paperwork. It offers no booking trend table. Counting names on one day will not yield an agency-by-agency arrest ranking or a reliable total.

Cited and released
An enforcement action can create an agency record without a county-jail stay or current roster row.
Booked and released
A person may have a valid booking record but disappear from a current-custody page before a later search.
Currently held
A roster row may remain for days or longer, so its book date—not its position—shows whether the arrest was recent.
Transferred
Later custody may belong to CDCR, BOP, ICE, another county, or another receiving agency.
Court case
The filed complaint and disposition belong to the court and can differ from the intake charge.

This boundary matters most when you compare the official roster against local news or aggregator cards. A Corning Observer roundup is issue-based. A Red Bluff Daily News blotter mixes agency logs. An aggregator card may stay up after release. Merging them into one apparent live feed would erase what each source actually means.

From Arrest Record to Tehama Court File

A Tehama County arrest starts a chain, not a single file. Booking comes first. A photo may follow. Then the person is held or released, and the court process takes over. For this sequence, the roster and the courts answer different questions. The jail roster shows which agency made the arrest, the charge listed at booking, bail, and release details. The court file holds the complaint, pleas, orders, dismissals, and sentences. Tehama's official pages set no county arraignment deadline tied to the roster timestamp. So count no exact hours-after-booking promise.

To reach the court records in person, go to the Criminal Division at 1740 Walnut Street in Red Bluff. Hours run 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Records cannot be researched by phone, the court states. A written or in-person request should name the defendant and give a date of birth. List the documents you need. Include payment under the current fee schedule, plus a stamped return envelope when it applies. Certified copies add a certification charge and a per-page charge, so confirm fees before sending anything.

The online traffic-payment search is not a general Tehama criminal index for arrests or warrants. For the right case path, use the court calendar and the Criminal Division instructions. Charges can change after booking. A case may be reduced or dismissed. The later court material is what settles those differences, so a booking page is no substitute for the final court record.

Identity check: Match the name and date of birth, booking or case number, dates, and agency. A shared name or old photo is not enough to identify a person.

Older Tehama County Arrest and Booking Records

How long do roster rows, ICUD detail pages, and ICUP booking photos stay online? The Sheriff does not say. An old book date only proves ongoing custody. Custody-manual language about daily activity logs and shift reports covers internal records. It promises nothing about public webpages or photographs.

Start older Tehama booking searches with Sheriff Records. Give the full name, the booking date or a narrow range, the booking number, and the arresting agency. Name the exact material you want. Ask where the record stands. It may remain with the Sheriff, be destroyed under a schedule, be transferred, or be withheld under a stated exemption. The California Secretary of State explains that retention schedules govern record series, storage, and disposition. Local schedules are distinct. Routine Tehama booking photos should not be assumed to have reached the State Archives.

When an arrest produced a filed case, the Superior Court holds the disposition, subject to sealing and confidentiality rules. For historical reporting, the Tehama County Library historical-resources path lists current local newspapers plus older papers on microfilm or in digitized collections. Those archives run chronologically. You need a date range. Newspaper copy is secondary evidence anyway. It never replaces the official booking log or court result.

  1. Ask Sheriff Records for the specific booking or release record.
  2. Check the arresting city agency if the incident narrative is needed.
  3. Request the Superior Court case and disposition when charges were filed.
  4. Use CDCR, BOP, or ICE only if later custody entered that separate system.
  5. Use the library for dated historical news, then verify claims against official records.

When arrest relief or sealing applies, send the order to the Sheriff, the arresting agency, and the court. Add any secondary publisher still showing the record. Search engines can lag. Stale text or an image may outlive the corrected page. Request a search-index refresh afterward. That refresh changes the search result, never the underlying government record.

Custody After a Tehama Arrest

A transfer means a new locator. CDCR CIRIS tracks people in California corrections custody. The BOP locator covers federal prison custody, with no photos. ICE covers qualifying immigration holds, not children under 18. None replaces the Sheriff roster for a new local booking. Tehama Alert is not an inmate app. It sends emergency, road, missing-person, and wanted notices. For release or transfer alerts at participating agencies, use the VINE Arrest Check and compare against the roster.
